A funeral will be held Wednesday, November 10, 2021 for 81-year-old Dorothy Gross of Evansville, Illinois, who passed away at 9:45 a.m., Saturday, November 6, 2021 at St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.
She was born February 16, 1940, the daughter of Louis and Lillie (nee Kisro) Heuman who both preceded her in death.
Dorothy married Milton M. Gross on August 31, 1960 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Evansville, Illinois; he preceded her in death on January 22, 2013.
She is survived by two children: Gail (Jack) Ashby of Perryville, Mo. and Richard (Jan) Gross of Evansville, Ill.; three sisters: Margaret Pautler of Red Bud, Ill., Marion Jordon of Red Bud, Ill., and Gloria Montroy of Ellis Grove, Ill.; four grandchildren: Reva Engelage, Kayla Ashby, Becky Wittenborn and Nathan Gross; two great grandchildren: Juliett and Scarlett Wittenborn and many nieces and nephews.
She was also receded in death by: a sister: Lois Bollinger.
She had worked at the International Show Factory, Spartan Printing and Spartan Light Metals.
Dorothy was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Evansville.
She was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post No. 1172 in Evansville and the Senior Citizens.
Dorothy enjoyed going out to eat with her sisters every week.
Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Evansville, Ill.

Interment will be in the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Evansville, Ill.
