A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 30, 2021 for 64-year-old Steven “Catfish” Blechle of Chester, Illinois, who passed away at 1:52 pm, Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Memorial Hospital, Carbondale, Illinois.
He was born April 26, 1957 in Chester, the son of Francis and Betty (nee Barnes) Blechle who both preceded him in death.
He is survived by two sisters: Sue Blechle of Chester and Cheryl Huber of Bowling Green, Kentucky and two nephews: Brian and Kevin Huber.
He was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law: Lee Huber.
Steven worked on the street department for the City of Chester for over 30 years.
He was of the Catholic Faith
It was Steven’s wish to be cremated.
