JEFFERSON CITY — A woman from North Dakota died Monday in a traffic crash on Highway 51 in Perry County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 22-year-old Abigail N. White of Alexander, North Dakota was the driver of a southbound 2012 Dodge Durango which crossed the centerline and struck a northbound 1987 Freightliner Conventional head on. White was taken to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis where she was pronounced at 12:44 p.m. The truck driver, 75-year-old Eric W. Robinson of Perryville, was not hurt.
The patrol says White was unrestrained while Robinson was buckled up.
The crash happened about 6:50 a.m. south of Route H.
Both vehicles were total losses.
