MoDHSS reports Perry, Ste. Gen Co. COVID numbers

JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services has released its latest COVID-19 report for Ste. Genevieve and Perry Counties.

The Department reports Ste. Genevieve County has had 27 new confirmed and probable cases in the seven days ending October 14 for a daily average of four and no new deaths for a total of 2,362 confirmed and probable cases and 29 confirmed deaths since the pandemic began in March 2020.

The Department reports 42.3 percent of the Ste. Genevieve County population is fully vaccinated.

Ste. Genevieve County is offering the Moderna vaccine by appointment only. Call 573 883 7411.

The Pfizer vaccine for those aged 12 and up is being administered at the CVS Pharmacy in Ste. Genevieve. Visit CVS.com to make an appointment.

The department reports Perry County had 38 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 for a daily average of five and no deaths in the seven days ending October 14 for a total of 3,062 confirmed and probable cases and a death toll of 33 since the pandemic began in March 2020.

The Missouri Department of Heath and Senior Services reports 35.8 percent of Perry County residents are fully vaccinated.

The Perry County Health Department has scheduled a Moderna COVID-19 vaccination clinic Monday through Thursday, with walk ins welcomed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the office at 406 Spring Street in Perryville. No appointment needed.

The Department reports 7,254 confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 statewide during the seven days ending October 14. The state also reports 15 deaths during the same period.

That brings the statewide total to 841,196 cases with 11,835 deaths. The Department reports 48.7 percent of the state’s eligible population are fully vaccinated.
