CHESTER — A 25-year-old Ellis Grove man was hurt in a traffic crash on Chester Road in Randolph County Saturday, October 9.
The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office reports Jacob Long was taken to Memorial Hospital in Chester for treatment of his injuries.
The sheriff’s office report states Long was the driver of a southbound 2015 Jeep which ran off the right side of the road, traveled down a hillside, struck a ditch and then some trees.
The crash happened about 7 p.m. an eighth of a mile north of Shawneetown Trail.
Long was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
