CHESTER — The Beta Delta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma participated in the Illinois State DKG Virtual Art Mart Bazaar. Chapters throughout the state of Illinois donated items for the Virtual Chapter Art Mart.
Due to the Covid restrictions, the event was held virtually and members throughout the state participated.
Mary Ann Stumpe, longtime member of Beta Delta Chapter, shared her quilting talent and created a colorful baby quilt. She generously donated the baby quilt for the Chapter contribution to the Virtual Art Mart. The “Animal Parade” quilt featured an alligator, duck, elephant and bear parading across a sunshine filled grassy knoll with a kite and balloon in tow. The hand quilted item was done in bright primary colors with a colorful binding and white backing.
The generous winning bid was awarded to the Beta Delta Chapter and a percentage was donated by the Chapter to the Foundation for Educational Excellence. Beta Delta Chapter members appreciate the generous donation of time, talent and skill from Mary Ann to benefit the Chapter and the Foundation.
