EVANSVILLE, Ill. – The Christ Our Savior Lutheran High School FFA thanks Gateway FS for supporting the chapter.
Mike Pries from Gateway FS recently presented a $640 check to Christ Our Savior FFA chapter from the fuel fundraiser they held in February.
The Gateway F/S Company has conducted a program in Randolph County for many years that raises the money to make donations to various Randolph County FFA Programs on a rotating basis. These donations help foster the functioning of these Randolph County FFA programs.
To raise the money to keep this program functioning, “Fast Stop Businesses” in Sparta, Prairie DuRocher and Red Bud (The N&B Fast Stop) donate three cents for each gallon of gasoline sold during the month of February each year. F/S takes the total number of gallons sold and multiplies that total number of gallons by the cents. That dollar amount is divided equally among the Randolph County Schools that are chosen for the respective year.
This year, Randolph County schools receiving grants also included Chester, Steeleville, Red Bud and Sparta. Each school received a donation of $640 from Gateway F/S.
