SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Every year, Girl Scouts explore the natural wonders found across our country during the Girl Scouts Love State Parks weekend.
Girl Scouts nationwide and their troops, friends, and families are heading outdoors and celebrating a shared love of nature and ecological mindfulness. This year, Girl Scouts Love State Parks weekend is September 8 and 10. Grab your backpack and head out to your local state parks for self-guided tours, family hikes, watersports, stargazing, special events, and more!
Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland will be participating in Girl Scouts Love State Parks at Lake of the Ozarks State Park! Girls will be engaging in activities that include cave tours, paddle programs, target sports, park service projects, cookouts, campfire singalongs, on-your-own activities, and more.
Girl Scouts Love State Parks is a national event highlighting a deep partnership between Girl Scouts and state parks in all 50 states with more than 400 participating state parks.

We Are Girl Scouts. Girl Scouts bring their dreams to life and work together to build a better world. Through programs from community to community, Girl Scouts of all backgrounds and abilities can be unapologetically themselves as they discover their strengths and rise to meet new challenges—whether they want to climb to the top of a tree or the top of their class, lace up their boots for a hike or advocate for climate justice, or make their first best friends. Backed by trusted adult volunteers, mentors, and millions of alums, Girl Scouts lead the way as they find their voices and make changes that affect the issues most important to them.
