JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri Department of Transportation, along with Gov. Parson will announce the new Missouri Railroad Safety Crossing Plan at a news conference Thursday, Aug. 3.
Gov. Mike Parson’s signing of House Bill 4 includes an historic $50 million General Revenue investment.
In response to the June 2022 AMTRAK crash near Mendon, Mo., the state’s plan focuses on improvements at the 47 passive public rail crossings on Missouri’s three rail lines that carry passenger rail.
