Ste. Genevieve Board of Aldermen meeting

STE. GENEVIEVE – The Ste. Genevieve Board of Aldermen met in regular session Thursday.

 

Police Chief Jasen Crump presented his report:

 

 

 

Alliance Water Local Manager Corey Litterst presented his report.

 

The aldermen approved the consent agenda items which included:

 

A revised street closure request from Downtown Ste. Genevieve for the Pecanapalooza Street Festival to be held Saturday, Nov. 2 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. The new closure request is for Third Street from Market and Merchant and Market Street from Third and Main Streets.

 

Resolution 2024-43 which allows the city clerk to dispose of file records in accordance with the Missouri Secretary of State’s guidelines.

 

The following Old Business items were dealt with:

 

Bill No. 4631, a memorandum of agreement with Alliance Water Resources. It was approved on first reading and 7-0-1 on second reading with Alderman Patrick Fahey absent.

 

Bill No. 4632, an agreement with the Ste. Genevieve Community Access Cable Board for the operation of Cable Channels 990 and 991 was approved on second reading 7-0-1.

 

Bill No. 4633, an agreement with Apptegy, Inc. of Little Rock, Ark to develop and host the city government website was approved 7-0-1 on second reading.

 

Bill No. 4635, accepting a proposal from gettinggreatrates.com for a rate analysis for the water and sewer funds. Approved 7-0-1 on second reading.

 

Bill No. 4636, approving a budget amendment for the FY 2024 budget. Approve 7-0-1 on second reading.

 

Bill No. 4637, adopting the FY 2025 budget. Approved 7-0-1 on second reading.

 

Bill No. 4638, an agreement with Blacktop Sailor. Approved 7-0-1 on second reading.

 

Bill No. 4639, an agreement with Cochran Engineering Services for the 4th Street Sidewalk Connector Project.  Approved on second reading 7-0-1.

 

New Business:

 

Bill No. 4640, calling for the general election April 8, 2025. Passed on first reading.

 

Bill No. 4641, to execute a proposal from Cochran Engineering for a city wide paving program. Passed on first reading.
