JEFFERSON CITY — A 21-year-old Perryville man suffered serious injuries in a traffic crash on Highway 61 in Perry County early Saturday morning.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Austin M. Mangels was taken to St. Francis Medical Center by a Perry County ambulance.
The patrol says Mangels was the driver of a southbound 2003 Ford F250 which travelled off the right side of the roadway striking a utility pole, began to overturn, ejecting Mangels and then striking a tree.
The patrol says Mangels was unrestrained.
The crash happened about 12:34 a.m. one mile north of Route A.
The F250 was a total loss.
