STE. GENEVIEVE – The Ste. Genevieve Board of Aldermen met Thursday in regular session.
Alderman Eric Bennett did not attend the meeting.
The aldermen approved two resolutions as part of the consent agenda:
Resolution 2024-31: authorizing a contract with Missouri Employers Mutual to provide workers compensation coverage.
Resolution 2024-32: authorizing a contract brokered through Lakenan Insurance to provide property and casualty insurance and cyber liability insurance.
There was no old business.
There was one item under new business, approval of a $1,055 bid for Washington Street property, which was approved.
The aldermen decided to move the July 25 meeting to July 24, to allow the mayor and interested members of the board to attend a town hall meeting organized by Ste. Genevieve County.
The meeting on July 24 will be at 6 p.m. and will be shown live on SteGenTV to be followed by the What’s New Show on the channel. It is expected that a few of the aldermen may stay after the meeting to participate in a discussion of Proposition S – the city’s multi-million dollar street construction and improvement issue, which will be on the August primary ballot.
The meeting was shown live on SteGenTV Channel 991 and is now available on the SteGenTV You Tube Channel at https://youtu.be/bEVfiFoEK2g
