who passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at home in Sainte Genevieve, MO
She was born November 5, 1947 in Cape Girardeau, MO a daughter to Clarence Sander and Emma Sander who both preceded her in death.
Married to Mark Nathaniel Patrick on July 12, 1976. He survives in Ste. Genevieve.
He is also survived by two daughters: Alisha (Micah) Thacker of Sainte Genevieve, MO, and Terry A. (Donald) Lorance of Ste. Genevieve, MO; a son, Keith (Linda) Skaggs of Farmington, MO; a brother, Robert (Judy) Sander of Texarkana, TX; a sister-in-law: Judy Sander of Cape Girardeau, MO; grandchildren: Donald (Sarah) Lorance, Tesian (Todd) Wichern, Heather Stark, Ryan Degonia, Kyle (Emily), Nicholas, Caitlin, Emily Skaggs, Tristan Thacker, Riley and Madalyn Skaggs; great grandchildren: Dylan, Trent, Devan, Halle, Hunter, Cassidy, Addie, Tyler, Kaleb, Chelsey, Ryan, Rachel, Kayden, Kamden, and one on the way; great grandchildren: Memphis, Willow, Atlas, Stellar, Maverick, and one on the way; and her sisters children that she loved like her own, Emma, Billy, Melody, April amd Matt.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter: Tammy Marie Stark; a son: Doug Skaggs; three brothers: Glen Sander, James Sander, and Clarence Sander, Jr.; a sister: Clarice Foeste; grandsons: Daniel Stark and Tyson Lorance; Her sister’s children that she loved like her own, Donna, Eugene, Elwood, Timmy, Clarence, Johnny & Linda.
Shirley was a nurse up until her last baby was born. She stayed home and babysat through the years. Shirley loved her family dearly. She was a reality TV buff. She enjoyed playing puzzle games, and look and find games on the computer.
She was an excellent private investigator in her free time. If you named it, she would investigate them and maybe show some stalkerish tendencies. You didn’t mention or bring anyone around, unless you wanted her to “look into” them.
She loved Nascar, gardening and her houseplants. She also loved her Grand-doggy Bella who was by her side everyday.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Monday, April 7, 2025 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, MO.
A funeral for 77-year-old Shirley Ann Patrick of Sainte Genevieve will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 7, 2025 at the Basler Funeral Home. The Clergy will be Rev. Kelly Roth.
Burial will be at Crestlawn Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve, MO
