CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — Cape Girardeau Roller Derby (CGRD) is thrilled to announce its upcoming summer recruitment event aimed at welcoming new members to the team. The free informational event is scheduled for Monday, May 22, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the A.C. Brase Arena Building, 410 Kiwanis Dr. in Cape Girardeau. Everyone aged 18 and over is welcome to attend, regardless of skating experience.
During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the team and the sport with an option to start skating with other recruits. Attendees who wish to begin skating that evening should bring a boil-and-bite mouthguard to the event. Additionally, loaner skates and protective gear are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
CGRD is a community dedicated to promoting sportsmanship, athleticism, and service to Cape Girardeau, MO. By joining the team, new members will become part of a vibrant and inclusive community that celebrates diversity and welcomes people of all backgrounds and skill levels.
