Missouri reports 2,528 new COVID-19 cases

JEFFERSON CITY — The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reports 2,528 new cases of COVID-19 in the seven days ending March 19.

 

 That’s an increase of 62 from the previous weekly total of 2,466.

 

Older persons had the highest number of new cases: 122 for those aged 85 and up and 65 for those aged 65-84.

 

There were 20 cases for those under 12 years of age.

 

There were 17 new cases among persons aged 12-17.

 

The other categories: 18-24: 35 new cases; 25-44: 38 new cases and 45-64: 44 new cases.

 

Ste. Genevieve County had fewer than 10 new cases.

 

Perry County had 11 new cases.

 

Jefferson County had 91 new cases.

 

St. Francois County had 36 new cases.

 

Madison County had 22 new cases.

 

Bollinger County had no new cases.

 

Cape Girardeau County had 29 new cases.

 

 

Ste. Genevieve, St. Francois and Jefferson Counties are among Missouri Counties in the medium community level.
