Prepare your taste buds for an awesome experience at The Taste of Ste. Genevieve County on Saturday, April 15

STE. GENEVIEVE, MO.  – SGCMH Friends Foundation invites you to join us for our signature fundraising event, The Taste of Ste. Genevieve County!  Reservations are now available online at 2023Taste.givesmart.com. The Taste is scheduled for Saturday, April 15, 6-9 pm at the Ste. Genevieve County Community Center, Progress Sports Complex, 21390 Hwy 32, Ste. Genevieve, MO.  Bring family and friends to sample some of the finest foods and beverages from Ste. Genevieve County and beyond. For $30 per person you’re in for an awesome experience.

“It’s an exciting event that brings people from the community together to raise money for a great cause,” said Stacey Koeller, Friends Foundation director. “The Foundation’s goal is to raise $35,000 to support patients who are our moms and babies. We have a great start with Mississippi Lime Co who is a foodie sponsor for the event.”

Stacey mentioned how SGCMH made it a priority to continue providing OB services in the community.

“Several years ago, SGCMH made a strategic decision to keep OB as a vital part of providing healthcare and that commitment continues today. The Friends Foundation supports this strategic effort by raising funds to help purchase advanced medical equipment used by providers to enhance patient care in our rapidly growing OB department,” said Koeller.

In addition to the wine, beer, spirits and food samplings, event guests can participate in the popular cork pull where they donate $20 and randomly select a number which corresponds to a bottle of spirits.

“This is always a lot of fun,” said Koeller. “Many times you walk away with a bottle of something that is worth much more, and you might get something you’ve never thought of trying. In any event, it’s a “spirited” fundraiser to enjoy.”

Other major components of the Taste of Ste. Genevieve County is the silent and live auctions. Koeller explained that people come for the auctions just as much as they come for the food and beverages.

The Friends will also welcome back Tom Okenfuss as auctioneer and Todd Blackstock as event emcee.

“Tom has generously supported our events for several years and adds his own flair to ensure our auctions are successful and fun. Todd is an entertaining emcee and is an Emmy and Telly award-winning broadcaster. He has been the emcee for this event since 2019 and he is a member of the staff at Classic Rock 93.1 radio station,” commented Koeller.

Reservations are available by visiting 2023Taste.givesmart.com.  You can also pay the night of the event. Through our online website platform, participants bid on silent auction items, while at the event or from the comfort of their home. To register or view/bid on auction items or to make a donation visit 2023Taste.givesmart.com.

“Technology makes events like the Taste of Ste. Genevieve accessible to more people in our community and beyond.”
