High School Girls wrestling

 

STE. GENEVIEVE – Addison Geiler made history Thursday by being the first Ste. Genevieve High School girl to win a wrestling state championship.

 

Addison won the 125 pound weight class and is your newest SG State Champion!

 

High School Boys Wrestling

STE GENEVIEVE — Ste. Genevieve finished in 4th place in the state wrestling tournamnt.

 

Ste. Genevieve has five all-staters.

 

Mason Langeneckert finished in 3rd place in the 157 weight class.

 

Evan Winters finished in 4th place in the 144 weight class.

 

Drake Meyer finished in 5th place at the 106 weight class.

 

Dalton McBride finished in 5th place in the 190 weight class.

 

Gage Gross finished in 6th place in the 138 weight class.

 

STE. GENEVIEVE – Valle’s Espn Reed was the only Warrior to compete Thursday.

 

Boys’ Basketball

 

STE. GENEVIEVE — Ste. Genevieve celebrated senior night by defeating visiting Perryville last night. The final score was 76-44. The Dragon freshmen dropped their game 40-33.

 

Ste. Genevieve’s varsity has the second seed in the Class 4 District 2 Tournament.

 

The Dragons will play either fourth seed Herculaneum or fifth seed Affton at 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 1st.

 

PERRYVILLE – Perryville has the sixth seed in the Class 4 District 1 Tournament.

 

The Pirates play third seed Notre Dame of Cape Girardeau at 7 p.m. Monday.

 

JACKSON – Saxony Lutheran will play Charleston at 7 tonight as their district tournament continues.

 

PERRYVILLE – St.Vincent will play Principia for their district crown tonight at 7.

 

 

 

Girls’ Basketball

 

STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste Genevieve received the No. 3 seed in the Class 4 District 2 Basketball Tournament and will play at 7 p.m. Tuesday vs. the sixth seed Bayless at SGHS.

 

Admission is $6 for each day of the tournament. Cash only.

 

JACKSON – Saxony Lutheran has the second seed in the Class 4 District 1 tournament and will play the winner of the Feb. 28 game between third seed Fredericktown and sixth seed Kennett at 7 p.m. on March 2nd.

 

PERRYVILLE – Perryville has the fifth seed in the Class 4 District 1 tournament and will play fourth seed Dexter at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

 

PERRYVILLE – St. Vincent has the top seed in the Class 2 District 3 Tournament and was scheduled to play fifth seed Greenville at 6 p.m. yesterday, but the score was unavailable at presstime (11:46 pm).

 

CHS softball parent meeting set

CHESTER – Chester High School Softball will have a parent meeting following tryouts on Monday, February 27th.  Parents are welcome to attend tryouts also, but the meeting is expected to begin at 5:45PM.  Location will be announced later. 

 

One parent or guardian is required to attend a coaches/parents meeting prior their player participating in a game.  If the 27th does not work with your schedule, please contact me for an alternate date.

 

This Try-out is open to any girl who is attending CHS. Even if you haven’t attended an open gym/field practice and still want to try out, you are more then welcome to come.
