PERRYVILLE – Tuesday, November 29th was the last day to make debit or credit card payments to Citizens Electric Corporation until Monday, December 5th.
After 4 p.m. yesterday, payments were not accepted via debit or credit card on the website, in the office, or at authorized payment station locations.
Cash and check payments are being accepted at the Perryville CEC headquarters drive-through and lobby.
Checks can be mailed or left in the drop box.
Credit and debit card payments will be accepted again beginning Monday.
“We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we transition to a new payment and billing system,” the utility posted on its Facebook page Tuesday afternoon.
