James Joseph Blow

A funeral will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2022 for 78-year-old James Joseph Blow of Red Bud, Illinois, who passed away at 8:07 am, Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Red Bed Regional Care Center, Red Bud, Illinois.

 

He was born to the late Elmer and Elvie (nee Hentis) Blow on October 6, 1944 in Belleville, Illinois.

 

He is survived by three children: Christopher (Priscilla) Blow of Chester, David (Pam) Blow of Ellis Grove, and Daniel (Karen) Blow of Lansford, N.D.; a brother: Larry “Red” Blow of Red Bud, seven grandchildren: Tabitha Blow, Ricky (Cheryl) Blow, Shawna Blow, Zachary (Amber) Blow, Abigail Blow, Allison (Jacob) Bullinger and Michael Kjolberg; nine great grandchildren: Ashlyn, Emily, Haven, Bryston, Jaclyn, Gabriel, Jason, Ella and Ellie and a brother-in-law: Eugene Gruber of Red Bud.

 

He was preceded in death by: his parents, a son: Michael Blow, two sisters: Iva Porter and Shari Gruber and a sister-in-law: Mary Blow.

 

James was retired from E.M. Wiegmann & Co. in Freeburg, Illinois

 

He was a member of St. Peters United Church of Christ in Red Bud, Illinois.

 

In his younger years he enjoyed playing baseball and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

 

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter United Church of Christ, Red Bud.

 

A funeral for 78-year-old James Joseph Blow of Red Bud will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at the St. Peter United Church of Christ, Red Bud, Illinois. The Rev. Cory Hartz will officiate.

 

Interment will be in the St. Peter’s United Church of Christ Cemetery, Red Bud, Illinois.
