Ste. Genevieve woman hurt in Highway 32 crash

JEFFERSON CITY — A 47-year-old Ste. Genevieve woman suffered minor injuries in a traffic crash on Highway 32 in Ste. Genevieve County Wednesday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Melissa A. Fallert was taken to Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital by a Ste. Genevieve Country ambulance.

The patrol says Fallert was the driver of a westbound 2015 Chevrolet Cruze which struck the rear of a 2015 Ford Edge driven by 21-year-old Angie E. Schwartz of Ste. Genevieve when Schwartz stopped to make a left turn into a private driveway.

After the impact, the Cruze traveled off the right side of the roadway, striking a mailbox before coming to rest facing west. The Edge traveled off the right side of the roadway and came to rest facing west.

Schwartz was not hurt.

Both drivers were buckled up.

The crash happened about 7:56 a.m. east of Siebert Road.

The Cruze had extensive damage and the Edge had moderate damage.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
