Dale Henry Howie

A funeral will be held Thursday, May 12, 2022 for 84-year-old Dale Henry Howie, 84, of Evansville, Illinois, who passed away at 7:45 a.m., Thursday, May 5, 2022 at his residence.

 

He was born October 8, 1937 in Evansville, Illinois a son of Calla A. and Germaine S. (nee Bauer) Howie who both preceded him in death.

 

He is survived by two sisters: Sharon Howie of Evansville, Ill. and Carol (Robert) Ehlers of Springtown, Texas; a nephew: Donald Ehlers of Saginaw, Tex.; a niece: Sherri Myrick of Springtown, Tex.; a great nephew: Aaron Ehlers; three great nieces: Tori Johnson, Taylor Myrick and Victoria Johnson; three great-great nieces: Madelynn Johnson, Allyson Johnson and Leia Johnson; a dear friend:

Marian Gregson of Red Bud, Ill.

 

He was also preceded in death by a brother: Darrell A. Howie.

 

He worked at Singer Furnace Company in Red Bud, Illinois for over 20 years.

 

He was a lifetime member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Evansville, Illinois and American Legion Post No. 1172 in Evansville, Illinois.

 

Dale was an avid sportsman and marksman.

 

Dale served our country as an Army specialist stationed in Germany.

 

Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon Thursday, May 12, 2022 at the Pechacek Funeral Homes, Evansville, Illinois

 

A funeral for 84-year-old Dale Henry Howie, 84, of Evansville, Illinois will be held at 12 noon, Thursday, May 12, 2022 at the Pechacek Funeral Home, Evansville, Illinois, Fr. Steven Pautler and Fr. Iuvenius Iheme will officiate.

 

Interment will be in the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery, Evansville, Illinois
