COVID-19 numbers are back on the rise in Mo. and Perry and Ste. Gen Counties

JEFFERSON CITY — Yesterday I told you the latest COVID-19 figures for Missouri and for Perry and Ste. Genevieve Counties showed declines in the number of new cases.

Well, that’s all changed.

Figures released by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services today show a 14 percent increase in the number of confirmed and probable cases statewide for the seven days ending January 15th compared to the seven days ending January 14th. The latest figure is 78,852, The previous figure was 69,111.

Perry County had 228 confirmed and probable cases for the week ending January 15th, up three percent from the 222 cases for the seven days ending January 14th.

Ste. Genevieve County had 190 confirmed and probable cases for the seven days ending January 15th. That’s an increase of about 88 percent higher than the 101 confirmed and probable cases reported for the seven days ending January 14th.
