Buena Vista Bank donates to Tunnels to Towers Foundation

From a news release

CHESTER — Our Hero Auto Loan Program has allowed us to work with some of our incredible local heroes. Because of their participation in our program, we’ve made a $1,400 donation to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is a non-profit organization that honors the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001. They also honor our military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country. The Tunnel to Towers Foundation builds mortgage-free smart homes for our most catastrophically injured veterans and first responders. Each home is designed to address the unique needs of each individual. These homes help our most severely injured veterans and first responders to reclaim their day-to-day independence. Additionally, Tunnel to Towers aims to pay off the mortgages of fallen law enforcement officers and firefighters who lose their lives in the line of duty, or to 9/11 related illness, and leave behind young children with their Fallen First Responder Home Program. The Foundation’s goal is to ensure stability and security for these families facing sudden, tragic loss.

It has been our honor and privilege to work with our local heroes and contribute to the amazing work Tunnel to Towers is doing for heroes across our country. Visit www.t2t.org to learn more about the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
