A funeral will be held Saturday, January 15, 2022 for 84-year-old Marie Catherine (Huber) Hutson of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. who passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Garden View Care Center of Chesterfield, Mo.
She was born August 15, 1937 in Zell, Mo., the daughter of George Huber and Frieda Huber who both preceded her in death.
She married Uel Hutson January 31, 1959 in Zell, Mo. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by three sons: Dean E. (Elizabeth) Hutson of Madison, Ala., Bradley S. Hutson of San Diego, Calif., and Bryan J. (Lia) Hutson of Leasburg, Virg.; two brothers: Glennon (Joyce) Huber of St. Peters, Mo. and Richard (Joyce) Huber of Sainte Genevieve Mo.; a sister: Agnes (Gary) Walker of St. Charles, Mo.; a brother-in-law: Richard Abt of Sainte Genevieve, Mo.; five grandchildren: Christopher (Brietta) Hutson, Michael (Jessica) Hutson, Katelyn Hutson, Morgan Hutson, and Nicholas Hutson; a step-grandson: Matthew (Cassie) Stroud; two great-grandchildren: Maran and Marcus; and three step-great-grandchildren: Cooper, Cole, and Carman.
She was also preceded in death by a sister: Marcella Abt.
She was a lifetime member of the Sainte Genevieve County Memorial Hospital Nurses Auxiliary.
Marie enjoyed participating in her sons Cub Scouts as Den Mother.
She retired after 32 years at the Miss Elaine Garment Company with the last 15 years as plant engineer.
Marie thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family and never missed a school or sporting event with her children.
She also loved traveling extensively throughout the United States with her husband, Uel.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2022 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve.
A funeral for 84-year-old Marie Catherine (Huber) Hutson of Sainte Genevieve will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Mitchell Baer will officiate.
Burial will be at Valle Spring Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve.
