William Everett Easley

A funeral will be held Friday, December 3, 2021 for 88-year-old William Everett Easley Sr. of Sainte Genevieve, who passed away Friday, November 26, 2021 at Riverview at the Park in Sainte Genevieve.

He was born June 17, 1933 in Portageville, Mo. the son of  James Easley and Clara (Jones) Easley, who both preceded him in death.

He married Mary (House) Easley March 1, 1953. She survives in Ste. Genevieve.

He is also survived by three daughters: Deborah Easley of Huber Heights, Ohio, Nancy Huntington of Littleton, Colo., and Kimberly (Michael) Grass of Sainte Genevieve; a son: William (Nancy) Easley Jr. of Barnhart, Mo.; grandchildren: Lauren, David, Deana, Angelina, Alexandria, Isabelle, Zachary, Matthew, Michael, Kellie, Jason, Jacob, Grace and Hope; great grandchildren: Nala, Creighton, Amadeus, Ian, Adrien, Colin, Henry and one on the way.

He was also preceded in death by a brother: Charles Cleo Easley; three sisters: Nellie Jeter, Mary Lou Hamlett and Tommy Parker.

Everett served in the US Army during the Korean War.

He was a member of Twin City Church of Christ, Festus, Mo., Masons, VFW Post 2210 and he enjoyed playing guitar and harmonica.

Much to Mary’s embarrassment Everett enjoyed telling the story how he met her.

Most of all Everett enjoyed spending time with his family.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, December 2, 2021 and 8-10 a.m. Friday, December 3, 2021 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve.

A funeral for 88-year-old William Everett Easley Sr. of Sainte Genevieve will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, December 3, 2021 at the Basler Funeral Home. The Rev. Patrick Adams will officiate.

Burial with full military honors will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2021 at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
