Anna E. ‘Babe’ Mollett

A funeral will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2021 for 90-year-old Anna “Babe” E. Mollet of Modoc, Illinois, who passed away at 1:35 pm, Thursday, November 25, 2021 at Mercy Hospital South, St. Louis, Missouri.

She was born September 18, 1931 in Randolph County, Ill. the daughter of Herman and Ellen (nee Duvall) Roth.

Anna married Robert “Bob” L. Mollet on June 4, 1955 at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Modoc, Illinois; he preceded her in death on December 11, 2009.

She is survived by eight children: David “Rudy” Mollet of Prairie du Rocher, Ill., Michael “Bugs” (Barbie) Mollet of Prairie du Rocher, Ill., Vernon (Nellie) Mollet of Prairie du Rocher, Daniel “Gus” (Lisa) Mollet Sr. of Prairie du Rocher, Janet (Rick) Walker of Evansville, Ill., Dale (Stacy) Mollet of Prairie du Rocher, Ill., Christina “Tina” (Chuck) LaChance of Prairie du Rocher, and Paul (Erica) Mollet of Red Bud, Ill.; a daughter in law: Suzanne Mollet of Prairie du Rocher; 19 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She also preceded in death by a son: Gerald “Jughead” Mollet, a great grandson: Joseph Mollet, Jr. and an infant sister.

She had worked at International Shoe Company in Evansville, Illinois and Gilster Mary-Lee Corporation in Chester, Illinois.

She was also a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois.

She enjoyed quilting, bingo, playing cards and working in her garden.

She always watched Cardinal Baseball games and Wheel of Fortune.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2021 and 8-9:15 a.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at the Pechacek Funeral Home in Red Bud, Illinois.

A funeral mass for 90-year-old Anna “Babe” E. Mollet of Modoc, Illinois, will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois. Fr. Sebastian Ukoh will officiate.

Interment will be in St. Leo’s Catholic Cemetery in Modoc, Illinois.

Memorials may be made to Masses, Friends of St. Leo’s, Diabetes Association or to family choice.
