A funeral will be held Thursday, November 18, 2021 for 46-year-old John J. Tucker Jr. of Chester, Illinois, who passed away at 12:18 pm, Sunday, November 14, 2021 at St. Francis Medical Center, Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
He was born to John and Barbara (nee Mahan) Tucker, Sr. on June 6, 1975 in Belleville, Illinois. They survive in Chester.
John married Denise Stumpf on September 15, 2018 in Evansville, Illinois; she survives in Chester.
He is also survived by four children: Tiffany Tucker (Brandon) of Collinsville, Ill.; Shelby Tucker of Baldwin, Ill., John (Cheyenne) Tucker III of Granite City, Ill., and
Kylee Tucker of Chester, Ill.; three step children: Dylan Todd, Abby Todd and Luke Whitehouse all of Chester; a brother: Jeremiah Tucker of Chester; his in-laws: John and Karla Offermann of Modoc, Ill.; a sister-in-law: Samantha Clark of Prairie du Rocher, Ill.; and two grandchildren: Anora Tucker and Cameron Cline.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Orran V. Tucker, his grandparents: Leslie and Ressie Tucker and Charles and Maggie Mahan and a brother-in-law: Johnathan Offermann.
He had worked at Toyoda Gosei as a factory worker for the last six years.
John was of the Baptist faith.
He enjoyed gaming and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues fan.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2021 and 9-10 a.m. Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the Pechacek Funeral Homes in Chester.
A funeral for 46-year-old John J. Tucker Jr. of Chester will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the Pechacek Funeral Homes in Chester. Pastor Tony Glaser will officiate.
Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Chester.
