She was a life long member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Silver Lake.

She worked at International Shoe Factory in Perryville.

Lucy was co-owner and operator with her husband Vince of Perryville Heating and Cooling.

As Lucy reminisced with her children she shared these following memories. “As a young child growing up during the depression the farm life at times was hard raising a family. My husband Vince could always make things work out. We were happy with our family. We loved our church St. Rose of Lima in the little community of Silver Lake. Neighbors were like family. The parish of St. Rose of Lima was just one big family and our church was the foundation that kept the community together. My husband Vince died on Dec 21, 2005. I miss him dearly. I have out lived his family of fourteen children, brothers in law, and sisters in law with the exception of my husband’s brother Leon’s wife Delphia Jannin. I have out lived many cousins, nieces, nephews, and good neighbors. I am very sad that we don’t have weekly masses at St. Rose of Lima. I did not see that coming, but very grateful for all that God has given me. It’s been a good life.”

She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Lucy always enjoyed playing bingo, scratch off tickets, and going to the casino.
