Four persons hurt in Highway 61 crash

JEFFERSON CITY — Four persons suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle traffic crash Sunday afternoon on Highway 61 in Ste. Genevieve County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports all of the injured were taken to Mercy Hospital Jefferson by Ste. Genevieve County ambulance.

The patrol says the injured included one of the drivers: 33-year-old Timothy C. Jones of Cape Girardeau and three passengers in his vehicle, a 2013 Ford F-150: 31-year-old Mallory R. Jones and two children: a five-year-old boy and a one-year-old girl, all also from Cape Giradeau.

The patrol says the crash happened whena  2006 Honda Pilot, driven by 34-year-old Megan M. Jones of Bloomsdale ran into the rear of the pick up while both were traveling northbound on the highway.

The patrol says everyone was buckled up.

The crash happened about 2:25 p.m. south of Carron Road.

Both vehicles were total losses.
