Blayre is the daughter of Jamie and Jerry Bauman.

This is the second year for the patriotic art contest for elementary and middle/junior high school students.

The contest consists of three grade divisions: K-2, 3-5 and 6-8. Entries are judged on patriotic theme and technique.

Last school year, Blayre won first place at the local level in the “Illustrating America” art contest, sponsored by the VGW Auxiliary 2210, which earned her a place in the state level competition.
